Pigeon Creek Hunting Preserve

The Tournmant Trial is a series of Bird Hunting Tournaments starting the 1st Saturday in October and continuing thur March.  Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded at tournaments with at least 20 entries, as well as points will be awarded to everyone in the tournament for the Bird Hunter of the Year Award.  The Friday before the trial at 7 p.m. is the deadline for entry.  The next tournament will be February 5th & 6th.  Call 423-638-7250 to enter or for more information.

     The 10th Annual East Tennessee Open Bird Hunting Championship is reset for February the 6th & 7th.    Participates may run on either day and compete for a $1000.00 purse with a full field of 60 entries.

     The rules for the event is simple.  Contestants will be put behind a blind.  The 1st brace will have 6 birds released and 5 for every brace after.  Participates may take 10 rounds of ammo to the field.  For each bird harvested and turned in to the score keeper they will recieve 200 points.  For each round of ammo they do not use they will recieve 50 points.  Contestants may earn a one 50 point bonus if thier dog honors another dogs point on thier own.  High scoring hunter for the tournament wins.  Tie breakers will be determined by score card misses, the second tie braker will be decided by shooting clay targets.

     Trophies and cash prizes will be presented to the top 4 places.  All cash prizes will be paid out as follows 1st- 50% of total purse, 2nd- 30% of total purse, 3rd- 20% of total purse, 4th-10% of purse.  The event is open to all breeds of dogs.  Entry fee is $50.00 per entry multible entries allowed.  Training devises such as E-collars, ropes, bells, ect. are allowed. To enter or for more information call. 423-638-7250.
